Peter Pan

Peter Pan!!! This one I had to do as I am reading this book called Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson, its basically about how Peter Pan met Tinkerbell and how he fell in love with Tiger Lily (all before Wendy ever showed up.) Very good story for anyone interested, you guys should check it out.

Anyways, This is probably one of my best faces yet. I got a lot of compliments from people who have seen it. Considering this one design took me a little over 1 hour, I wish I could actually sport it on my fingers, however I really don't have 10 hours of spare time to do my nails :P   I guess with practice I will get quicker at it.

Toy Story

So lately, I have been on a huge Disney kick, I love the movies, the characters and well... everything about it.   I have recently started trying acrylics, they are pretty poor.. you guys will see a picture of them soon, but hey! its my first pair of acrylics, EVER! and they are made by me.  Well having acrylics, I have tons of time to design fake nails.  So here is my attempt at Toy Story.

I have to say I absolutely LOVE this one, the face actually turned out well and his suit.. I'm just in love with it.  Wish I had a cow printed vest :P

So this is the picture that inspired me for this design. Any ideas on what I should do next?

Bridal Mask (Gaksital)

These nails were inspired by one of my favourite shows right now; Bridal Mask!! It's a Korean Drama show set in 1930, during the Japanese occupation.  The characters are really good, and the story line is amazing!
To show my appreciation of the show, I made nails dedicated to them. And guess what!! DramaFever saw them and posted them on their Facebook page (which is crazy, since they get a crazy amount of views!! YAY!!

I am in absolute love of the thumb! It's my favourite so far, the brush I used did exactly what I wanted, and the effect matches the mask.  Don't you think?

The index, middle and pinky finger are from their uniforms, which are worn in every episode! The ring finger is the title of the show in Korean, I may have written it slightly wrong, if so, I am truly sorry, I unfortunately don't speak, read, or write Korean. I tried my best. :)

Anyways, if you love drama and don't mind subtitles, I would definitely recommend this show, it is the first Korean show I have watched, but I am truly enjoying it, and am probably more into this, then most the other shows out there,  (which is something to say, since I watch A LOT of shows) :)

P.S. The last two pictures are NOT mine, I just pulled them off the web in order to show you what inspired me.

White On by Sally Hansen

The Little Mermaid

So my nails are still pretty and haven't chipped yet, so no reason to change them! However, as a true nail polish fan, I can barely go a day without touching my nail polish bottles. So what happens? Well you know, I make mini pictures on big huge fake nails. Yay!! plus the beauty of these, they are tiny and easy to keep.  Not that Ill ever wear nails this long. If I were to wear these, I would have to chop it in half!

Well anyways, I figured I would start with Ariel from The Little Mermaid as it is one of my favourite Disney movies. I used to sit on this big rock when I was young and sing my heart out, thinking I sounded as good as she did. Boy was I ever wrong! At least I remember the people walking by smiling at me, although I'm pretty sure my mother used to explain to them what I was trying to do.

Anywayyyyyss.... If you were wondering what nail polish colors I used, because yes, I use nail polish, NO acrylic paints, the list can be found below. BEWARE, it is MAssive!!

Well I really hope you've enjoyed this design, I have a few others already which will be coming up from Disney. Anything you would like to see, leave me a comment.

Keep painting ladies (and gents). I want to see your creations!

Circle, Circle, Dot! Dot!

I have a little surprise for you guys.. The same design in two different color schemes. Why? Well why not?  It is an amazing design that is super fun, and little quirky and yet can be so elegant and modern.

The toes you see here in green are one of my friends toes. Her only requirement to me painting them this time was that they had to be lime green. I think the color scheme for this one is a lot of fun, and I am super pleased with it. I had originally planned on keeping the design with the pink dots full, however after testing the pinky toe we decided having them partially filled in with the blue gave it a little more edginess.

The colors I used in this design were; Limestone by Sally Hansen,  Gaga for Green by China Glaze, Guava by Revlon and Violet by ACO.  Different size dotting tools were also used.

After creating this lovely design for her, we started talking about color schemes this could work with, and I just knew I had to try a more modern look with it. And this is what it turned out to be.  For this one, I altered the design slightly by having the mini circles in both colors. I think I prefer it that way! What are your thoughts on it? Do you prefer the first design on the toes, or the one on the hands.

For this design I do have to give credit where it belongs. I absolutely love Linda165's designs, and she makes some super easy and pretty tutorials to follow. After watching this video, I loved the look of it, but wanted to add my own spin on it.

In this design, the colors I used are; Wet Cement by Sally Hansen, Hook and Line by China Glaze, Friar Friar Pants on Fire by OPI, Tuxedo by ACO.

P.S. I just received my ring today from Ebay, SO HAPPY!!! (does the happy dance), its big and chunky and really cool looking! So this top picture was really all about showing off my new ring :)
